What to do if My Shipment was Damaged?
For your protection, please do not sign for merchandise until you inspect for damage. You can refuse delivery if there is obvious damage to your merchandise. RVExit.com makes every effort to prevent shipping damage, however, if you do experience damage and refuse delivery, please contact RVExit.com within two (2) business days.
How do I File a Claim for Damage?
UPS
For UPS, quickly contact your local UPS delivery terminal for a Damage Inspection Report. Keep all original packing materials until otherwise advised by UPS. If you accept damaged merchandise and later file a claim, the shipper has the right to inspect the merchandise and original shipping cartons before processing your claim.
TRUCK FREIGHT
Visible Damage
The consignee should inspect the freight for damage and record any obvious damage on the delivery record. Be as specific as possible in describing the damage and avoid general terms such as "cartons damaged." You also have the right to refuse shipment from carrier.
Concealed Damage
When damage is discovered after delivery, it should be reported to the Truck Freight Carrier delivering terminal within two (2) business days of delivery of merchandise. The carrier will provide you with instructions on how to file your claim. You should hold the freight and shipping container until otherwise notified.
For more detailed damage/claim information, please see carrier specific instructions:
